Years as a Coach/Personal Trainer: 22 years, I first trained as a fitness instructor at the age of 18, and then moved onto training people with medical problems in my early 20’s after a 2 year battle with cancer. Now I specialise in strength and fitness training and really enjoy training both children and adults, also fitness training for sports such as Rugby, and specific Powerlifting coaching. I also work with an NHS contract for people in addiction rehabilitation, offering a weekly exercise session as part of the recovery process.
Specialist Areas: Strength training, sports conditioning, training for people with medical adversities and injury rehabilitation.
Most Proud Professional Achievement: Three main ones so far; Winning Northampton’s Most Inspirational Woman 2015, being nominated and accepted as a queens relay baton bearer for the 2022 commonwealth games. It was not the award it’s self, but the people that nominated me, it was how they said I’d helped change their lives; I was so proud of them all. And also representing Great Britain since 2014 in Powerlifting
International level Powerlifter since 2015, 11 British titles in Powerlifting and Bench Press, British Record holder in Squats, Bench Press and Total, Ranked No.1 Female Masters Equipped lifter 2022.
Years Competing: Since 2012 in Strength sports, and when I was a kid competed in Athletics and Rugby at county level until the age of 18. Took up Rugby again in 2020 and have enjoyed playing again. Moved into Rugby coaching in 2022.
Favourite Event: In Powerlifting it has to be the bench press, in Strongwoman yoke and farmers are my favourite, because I’m best at them! Rugby I love a scrum!
Proud Moments in Sport: Representing Great Britain and England in Powerlifting. Playing at Northampton Saints Stadium for the Alliance Cup Final 2022 for Bletchley Rugby Club.
